The students and staff of Santa Cruz Hillel are putting on a big community-wide celebration for Israel’s 60th birthday. This amazing event, Israel in the Park, will be on Sunday May 11th (the afternoon of Mother’s Day) from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at San Lorenzo Park in downtown Santa Cruz. This is the weekend right after Yom HaAtzmaut. The event will feature two live bands, Israeli folk dancing, a “bounce house” for kids, crafts, food, information tables, and hopefully speakers from the Consul General’s office in San Francisco.
This event is for the entire greater Santa Cruz community.
